In the Netherlands and Belgium, shipping usually takes 1-2 business days after you place your order for a parcel to be delivered. In other countries it may take longer. Please know that we usually ship out the same day - however we can't influence the amount of days a local post service takes. Please be aware that post services have unusually long delays because of Corona.
First, we do a little happy dance! You will soon receive an e-mail confirming your order. Our external dispatch company will prepare the orders placed through the webshop, usually these are shipped within the hour! Once our order is wrapped up and sent out, you will also receive an e-mail with your personal tracking code.
Our orders are shipped from our external warehouse. Living far away? Don’t worry, because we do offer worldwide shipping. The risk of damaging or loss of a phone or any other item is in the hands of the consumer from the moment the Ateljé piece reaches it's delivery address. Ateljé can not be held responsible for any damage caused while wearing a chain or case ordered from Ateljé. Ateljé ensures carefulness when it comes to packaging the orders and will take responsibility for a damage free item up until the item has been accepted after shipping.
As soon as an item is accepted after shipping, we can't be held responsible for any loss, damages or changes to the product. Please note, if a package is accepted by someone other than the person that made the purchase at Ateljé, for example by a neighbor, we are no longer responsible because that is a step we can't influence, and we can’t control the quality from that point on.
You want to return something? You can! You have 14 days from the day you've placed your order, to make a request for a return. Please be aware that return costs are always for the customer's account. Your refund will automatically be credited to the original form of payment that is used to make the purchase. We don’t accept returns if the order is send back incomplete, damaged or if our envelope isn’t used as a protective shipping box.
Here’s how a return works:
1. Register your return by sending us an e-mail. You can send your e-mail to: email@example.com. You always need to let us know that you are returning an item, otherwise we can’t monitor if it arrives back and we can't give you your money back.
2. Purchase a shipping form at the post office or order a shipping form online. Please be aware that return costs are always for the customer's account. Print your return label and stick it on the ateljé envelope. Bring your return to any post office. For more information or assistance you can always send us an e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
You have 14 days for returning the product, this starts on the day the product is purchased. It is only possible to return the product in the original packaging and the return costs will be for your own account.
Unfortunately it’s not possible to exchange your purchased product for one of our other products. You can solve this by returning your order to us and by placing a new order at our webshop. After receiving your return that suits the conditions, we will refund the money for your wrong order.
Yes, we are! Proudly to share you can find us in a few different retail chains in the Netherlands. You can find Ateljé at Anna + Nina, Vanilia, Hutspot and De Bijenkorf stores. We are also available at Urban Outfitters in London (UK). Please contact your local retailer to be informed of the exact stock.
Our cords don't like water that much. In order to keep your cord in perfect shape and colour, please keep them out of the rain (and shower, wink).
Nowadays, our smartphone is one of the first necessities of life. Has there been a haze on your transparent phone case? Don't throw away the cover! It's time to clean the case thoroughly.
Tip 1: Cleaning the plastic with detergent
First try cleaning your cover with detergent. Make a mixture of warm water and detergent and then use a toothbrush to scrub. Don't forget to clean the corners and holes inside and out. Dry it with a soft cloth and leave to dry for at least an hour.
Tip #2: Scrubbing with soda
As a start, sprinkle some soda over the surface of the cover. Then use a wet toothbrush to exfoliate where the yellow spot is. Dry with a soft cloth.

Wrapping materials: all the pretty unboxing feels, but make it eco? Challenge accepted! We currently pack your Ateljé order completely eco friendly, down tot he wrapping paper, tape and stickers. We’ve designed all of it ourselves to still give you a fun experience, and they’re all made from fully recycled materials, plastic free, compostable and printed only with soy ink.
Protective envelopes: in terms of our envelopes, it’s the inside that counts. We switched from that original silver sparkly plastic bubble wrap envelope to a 100% recycled paper one. Instead of bubbels, it has textured layers of cardboard to protect your Ateljé goodies in transport.
Shipping: the Netherlands is the best placet o do everything by bike, right? Dutch orders in het 30 biggest cities get delivered by bike, using the services of De Fietskoeriers. And our packages get to hubs in those cities by electric cars too! Given that most of our clients are still Dutch based, it’s an effective way to reduce traffic and keep our CO2 emissions to a minimum.
Works pace: we’re aware of our own, daily human actions as well. We bike to our Amsterdam office, only drive electric when we use a vehicle, bring our own refill water bottles, separate all of our waste into paper, plastic, glass and rest. Each cup of Nespresso coffee gets recycled too using their program! We eat vegetarian (major hummus fans), and use eco cleaning products.
Recycled cords. Yes… We said it! We’ve been so so busy with producing recycled cords. Proud to mention that our 100% recycled nylon telephone cords are available in our store, they come in black (Midnight), a soft beige(Dune) and a lilac (Lavender).
In addition, our latest iPhone cases for the iPhone 12 also come in a beige biodegradable material.
